U-Liner™ is designed as a structural, stand-alone piping product, using a 50-year minimum service life with full hydrostatic, soil, and traffic loading conditions.
U-Liner™ arrives at your site, installation ready. Since U-Liner™ requires no complex chemical reaction process, the installation phase is quick – and no messy chemicals to mix or clean up after the installation is complete.
HydroTech crews install an average of 500-1000' of U-Liner per day. Installation includes cleaning the host pipe, inserting and processing U-Liner™ , and restoring services back to the local residents with the use of remote internal cutting tools.
Since U-Liner™ is impervious to most fluids, it is the perfect solution to damaged sewer, potable water, industrial, and natural gas pipelines. After U-Liner™ is installed, it is a structurally sound "Pipe within a Pipe" that offers a true jointless and seamless installation.
One of the unique qualities of U-Liner™ is that it is custom manufactured to your specifications. Once the OD, ID, and SDR is determined, U-Liner™ is produced in long continuous lengths and deformed into its patented "U" shape during the manufacturing process. No stretching or thinning of the liner wall occurs when a specifically sized U-Liner™ is installed into the host pipe.
U-Liner™ is also the only pipeline rehabilitation product manufactured with TR-4 pressure rated polyethylene resin.
In both the manufacturing and installation processes, U-Liner™ is one of the safest pipeline rehabilitation products available. Since no toxic gases or fumes are emitted during manufacturing and installation, there is no risk of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) escaping into the air or waterways.
And since U-Liner™ is a completely trenchless technology, there is minimum disruption to the ground surface.
U-Liner™ is manufactured from HDPE (High Density Polyethylene), which is known for its long service life, durability, and resistance to chemicals and abrasions. U-Liner™ has successfully undergone an independent university 10,000 hours hydrostatic buckling test for long-term strength and durability.
U-Liner™ is rigorously tested by internal and external, independent third party laboratories to prove the quality, reliability, and reproducibility of the product.
U-Liner™ is listed with approval by the following standards organizations:
- ASTM (F 1533-94 and 1606-95)
- NSF (standard 61 for potable water)
- Greenbook
- NASSCO
- NUCA
- PPI
- EPA
The performance and durability of U-Liner™ is what sets it apart from almost every other rehabilitation technology.
U-Liner™ is manufactured from High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and contains no plasticizers, processing aids, alloys or fillers, which can, over time, degrade the short and long term physical properties of the product.
