HydroTech is a preferred contractor under the NAVFAC Southwest Basic Ordering Agreement for Southern California and Arizona. HydroTech was selected to perform a lift station repair project at the Twentynine Palms Marine Marine Corps Ground to Air Combat Center (MCGACC) in Twentynine Palms, California.
The apparently straightforward repair of Lift Station #3 ended up with many changed conditions through the course of the site work, including an inoperable vault lid that needed to be replaced; and an extended period of bypass pumping to provide time for the new lid to be manufactured and installed. Despite the challenges, HydroTech worked diligently with NAVFAC Southwest and Twentynine Palm’s ROICC (Resident in Charge of Construction) office to resolve and complete the project with no disruption of service to the base operations.
Jeffrey S. Cherry of Parsons Support and a contractor to NAVFAC Southwest, stated “The quality workmanship and professional attitude you all displayed over the course of this venture is a credit to your company.”

Tuesday, September 15th, 2009Zondiros Corporation of Torrance California was awarded a part of the three-year, $40 million project to upgrade the Ortega Highway in Orange and Riverside counties in California. They utilized HydroTech Inc.’s 20 year of experience to complete over 800 feet of culvert rehabilitation. This included evaluation and surveying of the culverts, engineering and design of the liners, the construction plan, and complete rehabilitation.
Several of the challenges of completing this project were minimizing disruption to traffic and businesses along this very busy stretch of roadway. By nature, the trenchless technologies that were utilized accomplish this goal to a degree, but Hydrotech’s crews went above and beyond by working at hours during the early evening and night.
HydroTech was also charged with protecting the Arroyo Toad,
a native species to the area and considered endangered under the Federal Endangered Species Act. By careful placement of toad fencing to keep the species from entering open pipes and becoming trapped, HydroTech was able to meet and exceed the environmental requirements of the contract and practice our continuing efforts to preserve, conserve and protect our planet’s resources.
The CIPP trenchless processes used for this project are unique in our industry. They substantially cut costs, reduce the amount of fuel/energy required to install the liners, and virtually eliminate the potential for environmental harm compared to older, outdated methods.
